Burst

Burst stoneware button

I am learning so, so much in the Flying Lessons with Kelly. It's hard to take it all in and put it into action. I am a person who has soooo much going on in her head that it's difficult to stop and put one thing into ACTION. The thinking almost always kills it- between the self-doubt, the overwhelm and the excitement... well, let's just say, I'm a little unfocused.

But tonight (while my house is quiet- a rare event), I listed a button on etsy and added my etsy mini to the sidebar. So, I have focused a little. I am so happy to be moving on this road. I so very much want to keep the momentum going and see it all succeed. I want it to succeed for me & my sister. I want us to be able to go, "hey, look, we DID it!" But I also, want my kids and my nieces to say... "look, they did it and so, I can do it, too. " Maybe that's a bit too big of a dream... but right now I am dreaming. :)

This button up top, we have nick named Burst. (Each baby has to have a name!) It's a happy little thing... Thanks for indulging my show & tell. :)

  1. I love Burst! And congratulations on getting her over to Etsy - good job!

Oh, how i know about worlds moving in my head and my reality feeling like mounds of clutter! In fairness, I am trying to keep a kind of gratitude journal in the sense that i write what i did do each day ... i tend to focus upon all that i want to get to and forget to celebrate the many victories/celebrations of each day. so far, i am finding it helps me feel more grounded ... like i can see my progress and am not so daunted by what lies ahead!

I am looking forward to seeing more announcements over on Etsy :)

  2. That is awesome! Thanks for visiting my blog. My son lives in New Jersey. You know one of the coolest things about starting this endeavor is having my kids see that it is possible to follow your dreams. Oh and I noticed your post on "Giraffes can't Dance". I taught an art lesson on that book - it's over on the sidebar under art lessons on my blog. I will check in again...

Hi I am a fellow flyer and found you through other fellow flyers!I think too much myself, I have someone told me that after reading my palm, must be all the lines! But my latest motto is take action and get it done, not being preoccupied with the results!I think you're going through a beautiful transformation taking Kelly Rae's course, congrats!

    Have a great time creating!

  4. Well done at taking those first baby steps. Burst is beautiful, but seems underpriced for all of the work you must have put in. I wish you huge success with your shop.

  8. I checked out your shop & love your buttons ( or should I say your babies :) ). Congratulations on taking such a big step!

You should visit greenberryhouse.com. I think your buttons would be great in their shop. They're very into handmade items.
